The camera opens up on a magician. He's in the middle of the crowd performing street tricks and after every trick he does, people ooh and awe and throw money into an open guitar case nearby. What the people don't see is that while he is performing, dazzling, and distracting the audience, a small child runs between the people, silently and with the agility of a cat slipping wallets from pockets and purses. When the first crowd moves away, the magician returns to his guitar case. The girl hands the man a fist full of bills. The man smiles and hands the kid a few and she runs off.
"The art of distraction & thievery is something that has been going on for ages. In order to be a good thief, you need to be quick and be able to avoid being caught in the same respect. No one even gave that girl a second look as she stole from the hard-working."
The magician sees a new group approaching as he performs. Evie's voice continues to speak.
"Trixie ,you think that wearing a shirt with Honey and Tyler kissing will be enough to anger me into making a mistake. It's a little sad if I'm honest. Why do you need to use a distraction? If you're as talented and going to hold me on the ground and pound me, why do you even need something to distract me? I suppose that when your opponent has a big an advantage you have to resort to cheap tactics to win, right? Or... maybe not considering that you have yet to bring a number to that 'W' category so far. "
Evie spins the camera around to show her face.
"I know that my composure isn't prize winning but my intelligence more than makes up for that. Moreover, when you warn your opponent that you're going to do it on camera... it does kinda takes away from that surprise element you were hoping to get from me. Maybe I'll wear a shirt of Aidan? Or Ernie? Or better yet, I'll paste Cyrus Riddle's face on there to remind you of why you are so angry in the first place."
She shakes her head softly.
"Before this match began, I told you straight up that I wasn't making this personal however when you purposely disregard me and act like this is going to be some cake walk, I do get a little offended. I know that my behaviour both recently and in the past hasn't exactly been complementary. I don't claim to be perfect. I understand your anger but as someone that has been struggling with a disorder since childhood, sometimes you need someone to put the facts out there for you to see before you can see things rationally. I think it's silly to hate and beat on a woman because someone failed to live up to the promises they gave you. He is responsible for himself and maybe you're actually just pissed off at him. Since he's not here anymore to explain himself, Aidan is your scapegoat. And let me tell you something from experience. Anger is not going to give you an advantage. Anger makes you sloppy, irrational, and blind."
Evie sighs.
"As for holding me down and beating me? I guess you forgot that I am the second strongest woman on the roster. I said that in my last video. See... there's that anger making you sloppy and missing things again."
She pans back to the street magician and again, the young girl is making her way through the crowd until suddenly, one-man catches her hand in his back pocket. There is a buzz in the crowd as everything stops. Astonishingly, the man gets down to the girls level, taking his wallet from her fingers. He watches her earnestly as he pulls out a hundred dollar bill and puts it into the girls hand. The girl tears up, as does the magician, obviously the girls father.
"You see, when you turn the other cheek and recognize the underlying cause for the action... things can be put back in balance but that is where you need to make the decision to do that. As for this match though Trix, if you continue to use me as a just a number, I'm going to make sure you regret that decision by knocking you out. I'm a nice person, most of the time but I don't play games."
