So, Zack Fantana.
My so-called ‘Fantanasy’. There’s a great many things a man can learn about you, especially when he wants to. That’s the thing about me, Mr. Fantana, something that you should probably learn. I can learn a lot about you and I can turn it on you in a flash, because that’s who I am. The First-Rate Manipulator, the Napoleon of Blackmail. I have gone by many monikers across my wrestling career, those are just a few.
Manipulation is my game, Zack. It is my forte. To manipulate someone is to control or influence them in different ways. The word comes from the Latin word ‘manipulus’ which in turn means handful. There are many games that demonstrate the ways that I can manipulate someone into showing their disadvantages, the weaknesses that become my advantages. In this business, there is nothing better than the idea of having leverage over an opponent, having an advantage over them. Everyone in the world, every single man, woman and child in the population of Planet Earth, they all have pressure points, sore subjects that highlight their weaknesses. All I have to do is press down on that point and collect the information that I need, the information that gives me leverage, and once you have leverage then you have control over the person whose information you now have.
To many, I am what you would call a shark. If you have ever walked up close to the shark tank at the aquarium, gone face-to-face with the kings of the oceans, then you’d understand what I mean. A shark is the ocean’s toughest predator; it does not stop before it gets what it wants. The cold dead eyes, the ruthless aggression, to the determination to get to its prey. All of these aspects are why the shark is one of the feared creatures on the Earth, why the shark is an aspect of me.
Knowledge is everything, Mr. Fantana, and I take it as gospel when they say that knowledge is the path to ownership. Simply put, the more you know about a person, the more you own about that person.
And the number of things that I have learned about you, Zack, I have learned a lot. I could use them to make your life a living hell, so much so that this match could be considered irrelevant. But I’m not going to do that, because simply put you’re nothing more than a stepping stone. I have bigger goals than defeating you, Fantana, I have an entire career ahead of me. I have titles to win, events to headline, a legacy to forge. Beating you will be the spark that resurrects it.
But it isn’t just the knowledge of your life outside the ring that I can use to beat you, Zack, but my knowledge of your wrestling skills as well. How does it feel to know that your death-defying stunts won’t save you from me, Zack? That your hard-hitting punches, your strength, all of the things that you see as my weaknesses, all of them will become irrelevant if I manage to get inside your head? If I get in, your focus will be shot and it will allow me to have my way with you. I am going to wrestling circles around you, Zack. I am going to use the technical prowess that I have honed over four years in this sport, the submission skill that I have perfected from my training, all of it will be used to prove to you and to the wrestling world that I am still the same Tyler Keenan that I once was.
All it will take is three seconds of your back on the canvas to grant me my victory, I'm sure that you know this. It is obvious that there are the two options that are available to you, Zack, and they are the outcomes of our battle. It is up to me to choose which one will happen, it is my choice that decides the end of our fight. You either end it half-conscious on the mat or screaming for the pain to stop as I twist your arm in inhuman ways. Those are your options, Zack, but you don't get to choose one of them.
Your fate is already sealed. All you can do is prepare yourself, Fantana, because it's safe to say that you haven’t seen anything like me before.
