One more from Davey in Engage!
Is Twitter good for the game or bad for the game?
I'd love to hear reasons why people think Twitter is GOOD for the game. I'd also love to hear reasons why people think Twitter is BAD for the game.
Is it both? What is being abused on Twitter? What is being utilised wonderfully on Twitter? What's the problem with it? Is there a problem with it?
What are your thoughts and/or feelings on this subject?

It's neither The Answer nor a Cancer. It's just a tool, used more effectively by some then by others. I, as a handler, have played this game long enough to pick up a handful of people who simply don't like me. A lot of this aggression gets directed towards Ash, as she's my most social media vocal character. My general rule is, if there's heat, but we're working in the same place and it could be part of a build, I'll work with it. If there's heat and it's just there because of OOC beef, I'll block them.
Recently, I decided to conduct a bit of an experiment. I joined a fed where some of my most vocal detractors and outright haters OOC, some of the handful of people I've actually blocked, are on the staff and are match judges. It's likely the second-most inherently hostile place I could have joined. I mean, it's probably crazy, and will likely only end badly, but I figured why not? I'll let you know how it goes, but they haven't tried to kill the character yet, anyway.

Some use it as if it were a fed.
If I may, go back to a convo Davey and I had when IWA was young where we talked about twitter. At the time, he felt that it was a tool being used incorrectly. At the time I was heavily vested in the 'soap opera' of it and disagreed with him (Not a fight, just a discussion)
Now that I have distanced myself I see his perspective. Like Colin said, it's dependant on the people using it and how they use it.
