So, the last couple days, everybody’s telling me to go check out Jeremiah Greyson’s promo on me. And hey, after the first Livewire show, where the two of us had a hell of a match, I’ve developed a lot of respect for the guy. Great competitor, fast as anything. He gives me faith that the next generation gives a damn about pro wrestling done right-no silly gimmicks, no soap opera bullshit, no fake ass drama about who’s fucking who, as if a single soul gives a damn about who’s bumping genitals. Jeremiah Greyson is above that, and believe me when I tell you, he is the centerpiece for the next generation of pro wrestling superstars.
But after what he said, and what he didn’t say, the emphasis in that statement is on “next”. Not this generation. Let me tell you why.
I figured that after having a great match with him, and him addressing me kindly a few times afterwards, that he’d be okay with speaking to me. But for some reason, his little girlfriend had to coax the words out of him. Like he’s somehow scared of talking to me or about me. And don’t give me the line that he’s shy. He goes out and wrestles in his underwear in front of thousands of people, that’s not what a shy man does. He had no problem talking last week, either. So, shy? Hardly.
But when he got talking, he talked like he had no trouble countering my attack, and that’s just not true. I had an answer for whatever he did. He lost to me for a reason, and it wasn’t just because Dick Deveraux grabbed his leg. I was ready to duck the kick, and then what happens, when his leg is hung up in the corner? Hmm. I wonder. Also, because of the tournament, my advantage with strategy was negated. For this match, I know who I’m facing and I can properly prepare.
But I’m not mad because Jeremiah maybe showed some cowardice or some disrespect. Because that’s his prerogative, how he wants to act. I’m going to go to Livewire #2 on September 25th, and I’m going to beat him again, regardless of anything else that happens. I am mad, however, about something else.
Ernie Parker tweeted a few days ago, and he made reference to the fact that he was determining who the first number one contender to the EOW Heavyweight Championship would be. And he said something to the effect of that there were five different people with legitimate claims to that spot. Which is ridiculous. There is only one….and that’s me. I went further than anyone predicted in the tournament, I challenged Ash Scion and that bitch Aidan Carlisle, I nearly got killed at the hands of that very bitch. I am the only person in the Livewire locker room with a legitimate claim to be number one contender to the EOW Heavyweight Championship.
So, once again, I'm going to go out and prove it. I’m going to make an example of Jeremiah Greyson; I’m going to use him to prove that there is nobody that deserves to contend for the EOW Heavyweight Championship as much as me. Whatever it takes, I’m ready to do it. If I have to take him down and exploit my technical or submission advantage, I’m glad to. What matters is that I get the respect I deserve, and if beating up Jeremiah Greyson is how I have to do that, I’m more than happy to leave him laying.
Jeremiah, you’re a young buck, so take a few words of advice from old, broken down Declan Black. This is not a “nice guy” business. There is nobody looking out for you here but you, and you’d do well to remember that. So, try not to take what I do to you at Livewire #2 personally. More as an education. I don’t hate you…I’m just going to beat on you like I do. See you Sunday.
