01. HOMECOMING
Saturday, September 17, 2016
She didn't know what the hell happened. All she could remember was that she was on her way to watch everyone in action at the last Livewire event when she suddenly felt something hit her. The force was blunt, and before she knew it she was surrounded by medical personnel that hovered over her body. Everything around here was spinning out of control and her vision was hazy. She could't move a single limb and she was just stuck there, laying on the floor like a corpse.
In the events following that attack, the smile that usually graced her face was long gone. The liveliness and exuberance also disappeared and she became hallow and void of anything. She couldn't be cheery and act as if everything was alright, because she wasn't alright. She ignored all of the messages and questions that people were reaching out to her with and she had been spending most of her days lately inside her bedroom. Jill just couldn't talk to anyone right now, especially since something serious happened to her. She would go out to train of course as she had a match coming up, but Jill just wanted to be alone. She looked at herself in the mirror, taking note of the bandage that was wrapped around her head. As she stared back at her own reflection, various thoughts raced through her mind. There were so many things that she didn't understand, like the attack itself. Who would want to do this to her? In fact, why the hell would that person attack her? She personally didn't know anyone in Livewire. She had no associations or relationships with any of them. It all just didn't make any sense to her. Was the attack done out of envy or jealously? Maybe someone that she knew prior to her hiatus decided to hire someone to take her out? There was just so many possibilities yet she still wasn't sure about the motive behind the malicious attack.
It just didn't make any sense to her.
Who ever had a personal vendetta against Jill clearly hated her. She was just thankful that the situation wasn't worse because had the attack been any more vicious, she probably wouldn't be standing...or even breathing.
What a comeback story that would've been.
Jill found it absolutely crazy that people were willing to practically kill each other in this industry. It hadn't been that way when she was around two years ago. Sure, you did have a handful of wackos and psychos here and there, but this? This was absolutely bat-shit insane. It seemed like things had changed drastically since she last stepped foot inside a ring. If people were capable of carrying out assaults like that with no conscious or remorse, then these people were really trippy as fuck. This wasn't all fun and games anymore. This was serious.
Jill simply sighed and went back to lay down on her bed, looking up at the ceiling as she thought about everything. Her head was still hurting a bit, but she thought that she would feel better in a couple more days. She was disgusted and even angry at the fact that someone could stoop so low to nearly end her career that she was trying to revitalize. After all the time she put into returning to professional wrestling, getting her noggin cracked and bleeding was the kind of homecoming that she received.
What a way to return to wrestling after being away for over a year.
