STAFF INFORMATION
Kathleen Saxon - EOW Chief Executive Officer
At the ripened age of 68, it’s safe to say that Saxon is approaching her twilight years. However, her brain is as sharp as ever and her business acumen is unrivalled, particularly where professional wrestling is concerned. Kathleen is the widow of the late, great Hank Saxon - notorious American promotor throughout the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and early 90’s. Saxon enjoyed a monopoly over various promotions in the different territories, earning him the recognition as ‘American Wrestling’s Kingpin’. Kathleen worked alongside Hank throughout his career and has gained invaluable knowledge concerning the business. While she’s a polite, positive, friendly individual; there’s still a shrewd ruthlessness to her nature that dwells deep within. She’s a kind lady but she’s far from a weak one. Never confuse the two.
Valentina Lemay - Co-General Manager
Ms Lemay has enjoyed a long and highly decorated career as a female wrestler across the Globe, electing to retire from active competition in 2009. The itch to work within the industry has never left her, however; and now she finds herself working magic in the boardroom as opposed to the squared circle. Valentina has just celebrated her 50th birthday but she conducts herself like a confident, beautiful 20-something would. She’s full of self-confidence and has an ego the size of New York state. She knows that you love her; she understands that everyone adores her and she embraces the fact that all men wish they could be with her. Whether or not there’s any truth to that, it’s what she fully believes.
Ernie Parker - Co-General Manager
Ernie ‘Pretty Boy’ Parker steps into the General Manager’s seat alongside Valentina Lemay, following a near 50-year career as a legendary wrestler across the globe. Parker - one fourth of the iconic ‘Dons of Wrestling’ stable - has enjoyed a long and prosperous professional relationship with the Saxon family, working for the late, great Hank for more than three decades. When Kathleen reached out to offer him the position, he jumped at the chance. Of course, he assumes it’s because she’s looking to be romanced and wooed by him. One thing that age hasn’t taken away from Ernie is his confidence and lust for the ladies. His reputation as a womaniser has never left him and with just cause. In fact, it’s this reputation that has drawn the ire of rival GM, Valentina Lemay, who crossed paths with Parker during their careers as fighters.
Jack Chapman - Play-by-Play Commentator
Chapman joins EOW and the wrestling industry for the first time, following on from a successful career as an analyst within Mixed Martial Arts. Jack is confident, well polished and understands how to tell a story when calling the action - an art form that many have lost these days.
Sabrina Hamilton - Colour Commentator
Sabrina Hamilton was originally cast by Kathleen Saxon as a backstage correspondent. However, once Ernie Parker saw her conduct a mock interview, he was enamoured by her wit and charm, so much so that he supported her promotion to the commentary table. Hamilton is young, vibrant and full of energy - an infectious personality that’s fuelled by good humour and sharp wit. She provides some light relief when calling the action, without sacrificing the intensity or drama of the ring.
Hope Gordon - Backstage Correspondent
Hope is an aspiring journalist and granddaughter of Kathleen Saxon, which certainly helped her application for employment. She’s using this role as a means to gain industry experience and fine-tune her investigative skills. Gordon is like a dog with a bone, overcoming anything if it means getting her hands on a good story. She has the drive and passion that’s required in sports journalism, even though she can be overbearing with it at times.
Melissa May - Backstage Correspondent
Melissa is the “other” granddaughter of Mrs Saxon - cousin to the promising upstart Hope Gordon. Unlike Hope, Melissa lacks academic pedigree or the art of critical thought. While Gordon spent her late teenage years studying to graduate, May spent hers partying hard and spending daddy’s money on vacations, booze-binges, clothes and other useless garbage. Once May got word that her grandmother had given Hope a job, she was relentless in her cries of how unfair it all is. Eventually, Kathleen brought Melissa in too, justifying the hire on the basis that May “has her finger on the pulse of modern pop culture”. Melissa is rude, speaks like an airhead and knows no boundaries. She’s also likely to ask questions that aren’t totally relevant but that interest her more.
