Angel Santos: "Ladies and gentlemen please welcome 'Unbreakable' Jason Kaine and his wife Roxxanne."
[The applause continues as Jason walks onto the stage dressed in a sharp, custom tailored, all black suit. His hair is tied back and he is wearing a pair of mirrored aviator sunglasses. Roxxanne follows close behind dressed in a black sheath dress and heels. Jason has a very serious look on his face and he carries a packet in his hand stamped with the EOW logo. Roxxanne wears a cold smile. Jason steps behind the podium, placing the packet down and setting both hands down on either side in a power position. Roxxanne stands by his shoulder as he begins talking.]
Jason Kaine: "Ladies and gentlemen of the press, first off I'd like to say I'm glad to have you all here so that there is official documentation of this guaranteed historic day. You see today is the day that EOW's Victory officially becomes the greatest wrestling brand the world has ever seen. Today is the day that they add a living legend. Today they sign the greatest God-damn wrestler this business has ever seen."
[Jason takes off his glasses and hangs them off of his suit jacket pocket. He then holds up the packet so that they EOW logo can be seen clearly. He opens it up and shows a contract with the Victory logo emblazoned on the top. He looks directly into the camera with straight face as Roxxanne crosses her arms and looks at her husband with a grin.]
Jason Kaine: "Today they sign me."
[Jason flops the packet down onto the podium with a thud puts his hands back down on the podium. Immediately the hands of of the reporters shoot up into the air and they all start throwing out questions, each one trying to get more attention than the other in a scene reminiscent of a litter of newborn puppies all trying to get milk from their mother. Jason puts his hand up to silence them but it doesn't work. This aggravates him. He furrows his brow and puts his hand back onto the podium and begins to talk again using a threatening tone.]
Jason Kaine: "Listen you disgusting little worms, this wasn't all arranged today so that you could ask your stupid questions. This whole event is for me to make a fucking statement because everyone here, everyone watching this and everyone on that roster know that the moment I put my pen to the paper in this folder every single one of the other wrestlers are on notice. They know that with my being added to that roster the chances of any of them becoming Ultimate Champion just became microscopic. I am here to be on top and stay there."
[Jason flips the contract packet open and is handed a pen by Roxxanne. He clicks it and signs his name to the bottom of the contract, officially becoming a member of the Victory roster. Again he holds it up, this time for everyone to see his signature on the bottom of the last page.]
Jason Kaine: "Right here, right now the wrestling world is changing for the better. This isn't going to be some kind of comedy routine and this isn't about to be just some kind of fantasy. This is reality. Hard hitting, crushing reality. By my name being on the bottom of this page, I have crushed the dream of every one of those smiling, hopeful faces who have also signed contracts."
[Jason slams the packet down hard on the podium and looks back into the camera which zooms in for a close up of his furrowed brow and piercing eyes.]
Jason Kaine: "I am the man. I am face of Victory and soon to be the entire EOW brand. I am the future Ultimate Champion. I am Jason Kaine. I am....Unbreakable."
[Snatching up his contract, Jason slides his glasses back onto his face. He locks arms with Roxxanne and the two walk off stage, the reporters again throwing unheard and forever unanswered questions as the camera fades to black.] |
