Hallway - Las Vegas High School - April 29th, 2011
3 Weeks to Prom…
The bell rings and students from the four doors in the hallway emerge chatting in a sea of incoherent noise from a double dozen conversations happening. Among the plethora of students is TRIXIE at her locker. Black glasses, jeans and a cute white t-shirt as she stacks away the books from class, Biology. After closing the locker she smells a distinct and unpleasant fragrance.
TRIXIE
"What is that smell?"
"What is that smell?"
Trixie's nose wriggles as she turns to go for lunch when she crashes into a male her height (5'-6") and drops all three of his books to the floor. She looked down as the brown haired guy picked up his books into his forearm and clutched closely to his red and black flannel shirt, forearms exposed. It had gotten round she was oddly attracted to those who exposed their forearms.
Student (Male)
"Sorry Trixie, very sorry. So sorry. I'm really sorry."
"Sorry Trixie, very sorry. So sorry. I'm really sorry."
Trixie re-adjusted her shoulders that had been slightly scrunched from the impact.
TRIXIE
"What is it this time, Randall?"
"What is it this time, Randall?"
RANDALL rubbed the back of his short brown hair and rested his forearm on the side of the locker, playing it cool if his book hadn't open and let a few papers drop out. Trixie crosses her arms as he drops down to pick them up, she notices he's blushed far more now.
Randall
"I was w-w-wondering if you had considered…..going with me to the prom?"
"I was w-w-wondering if you had considered…..going with me to the prom?"
Trixie shrugs her shoulders, scratches her eyebrow and lets out what can be accessed as an exasperated breath, this wasn't the first time he'd asked, she believed he was in the double digits.
TRIXIE
"I haven't yet Randall. I'm still deciding."
"I haven't yet Randall. I'm still deciding."
Trixie was waiting, trying to attract the attention of the dreamboat Damien Strone who was really taking his time getting to her and asking her; it wasn't like she was going to say no. She gives him a half smile and looks elsewhere, a hint to go away, a hint he obviously missed.
Randall
"I have money set aside for a limo, Trix. Unless you don't like a limo then maybe a horse and carriage, motorbike? How did you dream of arriving?"
"I have money set aside for a limo, Trix. Unless you don't like a limo then maybe a horse and carriage, motorbike? How did you dream of arriving?"
In the passenger seat of Damien's Red ford mustang GT, she thought to herself. Limo yes, horse and carriage no, motorbike? Yeah right, hello? Helmet hair? She gives him back another half-smile.
TRIXIE
"I'll let you know, Randall."
"I'll let you know, Randall."
Girl
"Beat it Sherworm"
"Beat it Sherworm"
A brunette followed by three fellas in varsity jackets approached and Trixie whipped of her glasses quickly, they were only for reading anyway. She batted her eyes at one of the three. From right to left was the tall, dark and handsome MIKE WEST, The very tall, too tall brown hair and dark eyes BRANDON O'CONNOR followed by THE DAMIEN STRONE, blonde, flawless complexion, blue eyes, very well defined. Randall aka Sherworm backed away from the group to retrieve his answer later.
Girl
"What did Sherworm want?"
"What did Sherworm want?"
TRIXIE
"Oh, just telling me I'm so pretty and how his dad bought him a motorbike or something, boring stuff Lacey."
"Oh, just telling me I'm so pretty and how his dad bought him a motorbike or something, boring stuff Lacey."
LACEY, Trixie's best friend all through middle school and high school. Captain of the cheerleading squad which Trixie also served on.
Mike
"So, you ready for Lunch, Trix?"
"So, you ready for Lunch, Trix?"
TRIXIE
"You know it Mike."
"You know it Mike."
The party would always eat lunch together with some other members of the team or squad but these were the five regulars. Trixie casually had herself walking behind the trio of Mike, Lacey and Brandon to walk in a pair with Damien.
Damien
"So, Trix? Prom is coming around."
"So, Trix? Prom is coming around."
Oh my goodness, this was it! she thought. Having a private celebration party inside her own head she was oblivious to a teacher; Mr. Oaklake, he let his students call him Allstar. In his early 30's, always wore a wedding ring and dressed in a grey shirt with a brown blazer on top with alternating jeans.
Mr. Allistar Oaklake
"Trixie, may I see you for a moment?"

Waiting Room - Heart Trust Bank - August 30th, 2016
Trixie shook her head, in a bit of a daydream to see Mr. Sherman call her from the doorway of his office. She stood up, dressed herself in a pantsuit that was a size too small, making sure it hugged her and showed off a little, she wanted some attention. She followed him into his office.
The office had a small window out on the city, a filing cabinet with a very large black desk to seat both a laptop, a full desktop computer, an ipad, stacks of sheets detailing the banks latest savings account offer and a family picture.
She nods and didn't realize he asked a question at first, before blurting out to him.
Mr. Sherman casually scrolled through her credit card statement he had in one of the windows open
Mr. Sherman did give a chuckle and adjusted his glasses, lacing his fingers to lean on the desk for her to reply to this large debt, perhaps give an answer.
Trixie showed him her foot in the black heels and Mr. Sherman swallowed hard. Trixie noticed his cheeks might have flushed a little and he adjusted his tie.
Mr. Sherman cleared his throat hard with his hand to his mouth, but still stared at her foot until she felt the weight and strain of keeping her foot up to lower it, out of his sight behind the desk.
Trixie watched as he span in his chair while Mr. Sherman went into his cabinet for a certain file, for like 2 seconds because her phone beeped with an email alert.
She opened up her email from ERNIE 'PRETTY BOY' PARKER to scan the email. He offered his 'Bouncing Bunny' an all exclusive contract for the new brand of Epic Online Wrestling; Livewire. It was a job offer with a Post Photoshoot included. She replied super quick, as fast as her red-polished fingers would type.
Mr. Sherman turns back around to see Trixie finish off her email back, whoosh, off it went and she was already finishing something else on her phone. He notes the blonde's change in behaviour. At first was a little concern mixed with optimism as Trixie wasn't worried about a thing. Every little thing was going to be alright, at least in her mind.
Trixie heads out of the office as Mr. Sherman shook his head, his eyes, however stuck to her ankles as she left the room and he looked over the family photo of himself and his son; Randal in the picture.
Mr. Sherman (Bank Manager)

"So, Miss Smith. I've looked over your account and it seems you haven't began to make a single payment towards a staggering credit card bill. What is it you work as again?"

TRIXIE
"OH! Sorry. I work mainly as a waitress."

Mr. Sherman
"But it says here you put down your profession as a…Pro Wrestler? With Engage Wrestling?"

"Yes. That was my main job, however there were some complications and I was left without that income."

Mr. Sherman)
"Riiight. Because my concern, Miss Smith, is based on our chat and reviewing the budget we went over on the phone, you are spending far too much on credit. To put it simply; you aren't earning enough as a waitress to be able to afford…let me see here…"

Mr. Sherman (CONT'D)
"Christian Louboutin shoes, $456. Your waitress income we discussed doesn't really allow you to shop in that price range, especially for one pair of shoes."

Mr. Sherman
"I see….You do understand that when you lost your job at Engage, you had less money coming in, so spending more on credit when you have less coming in leaves a bit of a deficit on money to pay back."

"But you do need to work on paying these bills off Miss Smith. There are interest rates to think of. We have to know you're paying it back. It isn't free money, you do understand that?"

"I do! Totally. I know I have a couple thousand to pay off. I'm trying to pick up more shifts and find a new wrestling gig. Trust me Mr. Sherman, I totally will be on it and pay up everything I owe, maybe even double!"
