Hey all,
(Aidan Carlisle , @ashfnscion , @cyrusriddle , @declanblack , Dick Devereaux , Jeremiah Greyson , Kimitsu Zombie , Trixie , Van Quinn , Zack Fantana )
So to clarify, you can find the full details of the First ever EOW Livewire card HERE.
#IC, your fighters know that their opponents will be drawn on the night in a 'Lethal Lottery' style format, meaning they could have any one of nine possible opponents. They know they'll have to beat the opponent they get randomly drawn against and then advance to the three stage main event, so it's a gruelling affair that is going to require immense physical conditioning, mental fortitude and the ability to overcome almost insurmountable odds.
#OOC, I'm just looking for you to roleplay as if you have nine opponents this week. Obviously given the fact that there's only 750 words at your disposable and two RP's available, carving apart 9 opponents is just not going to happen without some severe ingenuity and creative brilliance. Can you do it? Absolutely, but I'm also realistic about things.
So, as an alternative to forging a case for beating individuals this week, I'll be looking at the ARGUMENT portion of your pieces to focus on why your fighter is the safe bet for victory in this tournament. I'd really like to avoid the cliches like "I've got more heart" and all that generic stuff. Points will be awarded to people in this area who have quite clearly married their own character's skills up with the format of the tournament and put forth a case that leaves me struggling to disagree with them.
So, how will winners be determined, I hear you ask. Straight-forward process.
At the deadline, I'll collect all the highest scores of each character from their RPs and rank them in order from 1 to 10. In the show, the top 5 will be drawn against the bottom 5 in singles qualifying matches, thus ensuring that the best scoring 5 advance to the final. 5th and 4th best scoring characters will be eliminated in the first stage, leaving the best three to battle it out in the final two stages. The 2nd best scoring character will win the second stage and become the EOW Atlantic Champion, while the best scoring character of all the RPs from the cycle will win the final stage and become the EOW Heavyweight Champion.
As you can see, there's no barriers for anyone here. The only thing stopping you from becoming numero uno (or, indeed, a champ) is you and the quality of your opponents.
Hopefully all of that makes perfect sense. In the event that any RP's tie, it'll fall to second highest score. If there isn't a 2nd piece to score, then I'll refer to Leila for her input.
Thanks, best of luck and I am super hyped for this!
Davey
